1) Lokayukta of Goa
Appointed.
Justice PK Mishra, former Chief Justice of Patna High Court,
was appointed as the Lokayukta of Goa.
2) Union Government
approved signing of the Paris Agreement:
The Paris Agreement is an agreement within the framework of
the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change dealing with
greenhouse gases emissions mitigation, adaptation and finance starting in the
year 2020.
3) Union Cabinet will
sign MoU on Technical Cooperation between India and Bhutan.
Govt. Of India gave its approval for signing a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) with Bhutan. The two nations will ink an agreement on
technical cooperation in the field of capacity building, benchmarking and
bilateral exchange in infrastructure engineering.
4) The RBL Bank became the first private
sector bank in India to open dedicated branch for start-ups.
The dedicated branch was opened at Koramangala, Bengaluru.The
branch will assist entrepreneurs in setting up new enterprises or companies.
The RBL Bank is a scheduled commercial bank headquartered in
the Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
5) Rajiv Gandhi Khel
Abhiyan, a centrally sponsored scheme launched on 21 February 2014, has
been merged with Khelo India programme
by the Union Govt.
6) Four Organisations
formed Platform for Collaboration on Tax:
The International Monetary Fund (IMF), The Organisation for
Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), The United Nations (UN) and The
World Bank Group (WBG) joined hands to form the Platform for collaboration in
Tax Matters.
The Platform has been created as their step to boost global
cooperation in tax matters.
