1) Chairperson of
National Monument Authority(NMA):
Susmita Pande, a professor at Ujjain's Vikram
University, is appointed by Union Government as the new chairperson of the
National Monument Authority (NMA). She is succeeding Himanshu Prabha Ray, the
professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University whose term ended in September 2015.

Maritime India Summit 2016 (MIS 2016):
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Maritime India Summit
2016 in Mumbai. PM invited investors to come
to India.
Maritime India Summit 2016 is a maiden flagship initiative of the
Ministry of Shipping, It is a platform for investors to explore investment
opportunities in each of the Indian Maritime States and Union Territories,
including an exclusive partner country session by Republic of Korea.
3) Pepsi-Cola
sign in New York:
After 25 years of discussion Iconic 60 feet high and 120 feet long Pepsi-Cola sign on the banks
of East River of New York declared as a historic landmark .
4) Ram
Bahadur Rai appointed President of IGNCA Trust:
The Government of India reconstituted the Indira Gandhi National
Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) Trust with immediate effect.
Senior Journalist and former news editor of Jansatta newspaper Ram
Bahadur Rai was selected as President of IGNCA, a premier government-funded
arts organization.
