1) Wisden Cricketer of the Year
Kane
Williamson named the Wisden's Leading Cricketer in
the World for the year 2015.
He plays Cricket for New Zealand.
Kane Williamson is currently the captain of
New Zealand.
2) Maharashtra
Legislative Assembly unanimously approved the Prohibition of Social Boycott Bill, 2016.
Now Indulging in social boycott activities
will be treated as a crime in Maharashtra.
The bill provides for prohibition of social
boycott of a person, including their family members as an individual or as a
group.
3) The MoU, between India and
South Korea, is signed for cooperation and mutual assistance between India
and Republic of Korea in port related matters and their developments.It will
encourage cooperation in the tasks of sharing of technology, experiences in the
fields of port development and operation.
4) India successfully test fired Nuclear-capable K-4 undersea
ballistic missile successfully from INS Arihant.
K-4, having a range of over 3500 km, is a
nuclear capable intermediate-range submarine-launched ballistic missile under
development by DRDO to arm the Arihant-class submarines.
5) “Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan”
launched in Madhya Pradesh
PM Modi launched “Gram Uday Se Bharat
UdayAbhiyan” in Madhya Pradesh. The Abhiyan was launched on the birth
anniversary of Babasaheb Ambedkar at
his birthplace to strengthen Panchayati Raj in villages.
The aim of this campaign is to make
nationwide efforts to strengthen Panchayati Raj, boost social harmony in the
villages, promote rural development and foster farmers’ welfare &
livelihoods of the poor.
6) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched ‘Mission Drinking Water’ to deal with
recurring droughts and severe water crisis in Marathwada and Vidarbha region of
the state.
