Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), a major bank based in Chennai
(Madras),has more than 2650 domestic branches and 6 overseas branches.It was
founded on 10th of Feb,1937.

Narendra is the chairman and MD of IOB and according to him “Indian Overseas
Bank(IOB) plans to recruit 500 ‘credit officers’ from campuses
across the State”.
On Nov.8,2012,he told
newspersons in THIRUVANANTHAPURAM that Colleges, particularly management institutes,
will be targeted for this purpose.
He further added that the process of recruiting 387
specialist officers, including 337 agricultural field officers, has already
been launched and the bank has already recruited 1,500 probationary officers in
this year.
