Bank unions want adequate increase in salary as part of their demands to the management of all banks, represented by the Indian Banks Association (IBA). The 9^th Bipartite settlement ends in october 2012 and 10^th Bipartite Settlement is due from November 2012. Each settlement is valid for a period of five years. The earlier settlement expired in October 2012.

The meeting was held on 12^th August 2013 at Mumbai in which IBA agreed for revision of wages effective from 1.11.2012 and merger of 60.15% DA with Basic pay.
