Obituaries:
1) Manna Dey, the legendary singer died in Bangalore hospital. He was 94 years old.

Sports:
1) Serena Williams, the world number one tennis player won the TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships at Istanbul after defeating Li Na 2-6, 6-3, 6-0.

2) Sebastian Vettel won the F1 Indian Grand Prix 2013.

3) Jorge Lorenzo won Australian Grand Prix 2013.

4) Ding Junhui of China won Indian Open Snooker title with a 5-0 victory over Aditya Mehta of India in New Delhi.

5) Former Indian bowler Ajit Agarkar announced Retirement from all forms of Cricket.

6) Novak Djokovic defeated Juan Del Potro 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (7-3) to win a second straight trophy at the Shanghai Masters in China.

7) Novak Djokovic clinched his fourth China Open title in five years against Rafael Nadal.

8) Mumbai Indians Defeated Rajasthan Royals to Clinch Champions League Twenty-20 2013.

9) Sania Mirza-Cara Black won China Open Women’s Double 2013.

Miscellaneous:
1) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on 29 October 2013 released the Second Quarter Review of Monetary Policy. According the released statement by the RBI, the Repo rate increased by 25 basis points from 7.5 percent to 7.75 percent.

2) RBI reduced the marginal standing facility (MSF) rate by 25 basis points from 9.0 percent to 8.75 percent with immediate effect.

3) India developed Surface-to-Surface Missile Pragati.

4) Bhubaneswar and Imphal airports were Declared as International Airports.

5) Mahatma Gandhi Pravasi Suraksha Yojana, a pension and life insurance fund scheme for blue-collar Indian workers in UAE was launched by the Union Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs, Vyalar Ravi in Dubai.

6) Moscow hosted the 14th India-Russia Annual Summit.

7) India and China signed nine agreements/Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) including the Border Defence Cooperation Agreement (BDCA).

8) The Indian Navy inducted into service its largest offshore patrol vessel (OPV), INS Sunayna, at the Southern Naval Command.

9) Election Commission of India Approved None of the Above Option in EVMs and Ballot Papers.


10) India Post Launched International Money Transfer Service- 'Instant Cash'.
