Food Corporation of India (FCI) is conducting exams for Assistant Grade – III in General, Depot, Technical and Account Cadres. SSC will conduct the exam on behalf of FCI Exam for recruitment in FCI.

Total Exams: The SSC FCI 2012-2013 exam pattern includes 3 exams; exam 1, exam 2 and exam 3.

NOTE: 1) The exam 1 and exam 3 is for SSC FCI Assistant Grade 3 Technical vacancies.
2) The exam 1 and exam 2 is for SSC FCI Assistant Grade 3 general, Accounts and depot vacancies.

Syllabus For Recruitment of FCI AG III: 
The FCI exam 1 will consist of 4sections-
1)General Intelligence- 50 marks
2)General Awareness- 50 marks
3)Quantitative Aptitude- 50 marks
4)English Language- 50 marks
The exam 1 will be of objective type and is of 2 hours. The total number of questions will be 200 and each question carries 1 mark.

General Intelligence: It includes questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. Some important topics are analogies, similarities and differences, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning
and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogism, problems on cubes, mirror and water images, matrix.

Genral Awareness: This section will include questions related to Indian History, Culture, Geography, Economis, General Polity, basic computer knowledge, science.

Quantitative Aptitude: Percentage. Ratio & Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Alligation, Time and distance, Time & Work, Graphs of Linear Equations, Triangle and its various kinds of centres, Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons , Circle, Trigonometric ratio, Data Interpretation Bar diagram & Pie chart.

English Language: It will include questions based on spotting the error, fill in the blanks, synonyms/antonyms, idioms & phrases, one word substitution, improvement of sentences, conversion into shuffling of sentence parts, shuffling of sentences in a passage, close passage & comprehension passage.

The FCI exam 2 will consist of 2 sections-
1)Quantitative Methods- 50 questions
2)English Language & Comprehension- 100 questions
The exam 2 will be of of objective type and is of 2 hours. The each question of Quantitative section carries 2 marks and each question of English Language and Comprehension include 1 mark. The total marks for exam 2 are 200.

The FCI exam 3 syllabus for 2012 -2013 includes the following-
1)Biological Sciences- 200 marks
The examwill be of objective type with time period of 2 hours. The total number of marks for the exam 3 test is 200 and all the biological science questions carry 1 marks.

Biological Science: It will include questions on Botany, Zoology, Bio-technology, Bio-chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Engineering.
