7) CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award -- Sunil Gavaskar, was
conferred with BCCI’s prestigious Col. CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award at
the BCCI Annual Awards Function.
8) Malala Yousafzai awarded with Bravery Award by World
Peace and Prosperity Foundation.
9) Indira Gandhi Peace Prize 2012 -- Liberian President and
Nobel laureate Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
10) Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament and
Development -- The former President of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva got
the award.
MISCELLANEOUS
1) Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the former President and Missile Man
of India to teach at the Peking
University of China.
2) India-Japan-US Trilateral Dialogue -- India, Japan and
USA held their third trilateral dialogue in New
Delhi.
3) Iron Lady of Manipur, Irom Sharmila completed 12 years of
her fast demanding cancellation of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act, (AFSPA).
4) The South African Reserve Bank rolled out new bank notes
bearing the face of the country’s first black President Nelson Mandela marking
it as a tribute to him.
5) India and Britain decided to step-up cooperation in Cyber
Security during the talks of both the nations.
6) India International Trade Fair started in Delhi with its
theme Skilling India. The 32nd season of Indian International Trade Fair
started at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
7) United Nations declared November 10 as Malala Day in
honour of Pakistani teeenage rights activist Malala Yousafzai.
8) The Sultanate of Oman issued an official decree banning
the import of eggs and chicken from India. Oman that is the biggest egg export
market of India
9) Bangladesh opted out of the key summit known as D-8
Summit in Pakistan. Bangladesh opted out because Pakistan refused to apologise
for the deeds committed during 1971 war which eventually led to Bangladesh’s
independence.
10) Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, the Pakistani and the lone
surviving terrorist of 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attacks, was hanged on 21 November
2012 at Pune’s Yerwada Jail.
11) The 21st ASEAN Summit was held at Peace Palace, Phnom Penh in Cambodia. Prime Minister of the Kingdom of
Cambodia- Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen was the Chairperson for
the 21st ASEAN Summit Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
12) The 2nd India-China Strategic Economic Dialogue was held
in New Delhi in November, 2012.
